Logitech Cordless TrackMan FX

There is one very nice feature when using it as a mouse – the scroll ball actually works for both horizontal and vertical scrolling! Logitech’s MX Cordleess mouse aims for wrist comfort. Oh, and trackmwn course the cord is gone, and the bulky cordless receiver as used by the earlier Logitech models has finally been replaced by a nice little nano-dongle receiver. Now I just hope that the button switches in the TrackMan last for another while – until some vendor eventually comes up with a suitable replacement I just wrote about this trackball, so refer to that post for all the details about buttons, scrolling, connectivity and comfort.


It would have been so much more convenient if the cord had been on the top. This button was f at the corded variant of this device called Trackman Marble FX. It’s the best investment I’ve made so far with no doubt what so ever!! When pressed, the trackball now acts like a mouse wheel and allows me to quickly scroll across long documents – very handy!

cordless Did you manage to assign the buttons as you wanted? Even today it can be an advantage to save a USB port on some systems. It has a ball about the size of a pea, which was very easy to roll with your thumb. One of its few flaws was that click-and-drag pretty much required two hands.
